SHOWS WE’VE SEEN HERE:

Venue Capacity: ~200 general admission

General Information:

906 Victorian Avenue Suite B, Sparks, NV, United States, 89431

The Ranch House is located in Victorian Square in Sparks. Free parking is available close to the venue, with a larger surface lot across the street, as well as parking garage. There is a full-service bar that is staffed well during shows, and a self-fill water station.

Ages: Most events are 21+

Our take on this venue: The Ranch House is a cozy and intimate place to catch a show, and the decor is the perfect mix of modern and rustic. Several touring and local artists perform at the Ranch House and neighboring Paddy & Irene’s, and there are also free events like line dancing. The bartenders and events staff are friendly and efficient. The Cypress staffs appropriately for events, and service is quick. The restroom doors can be a bit tricky, so take care. Lighting set up and configurations can create red or dark corners for photographers, but for the most part we have had good luck photographing events here. The sound system is great for the space, but bring earplugs because it does get loud. Due to the configuration of the sound system and the stage, it does create a small “hole” so be careful when you are in the front row.

Venue information for artists:

Lighting: The Cypress has several light bars, surrounding the stage. There can be dark spots in the corners of the stage that make photography challenging, so stay center focused. For some events with larger touring setups, openers may need to have some members perform on the ground in front of the stage.

Stage Size/Composition: Fixed, elevated wood, approximately 2.5 ft.

Backstage Area: Shared green-room to the back of the stage.

Sound System: Impressive sound system, as well as overhead speakers.

Technical Assistance: Sound check provided, lights and sound assistance.

Load In/Load Out: via the back or front of venue. The venue is one story and accessible.
