Ha Vay’s music is a rare, intimate window into the ever-elusive mind of a free spirit. Following a quiet, creative childhood spent daydreaming in a small, forested town north of San Francisco, Ha Vay hurtled out into the world the moment she could. Enraptured by a craving for adventure, she traveled the world alone before returning to the Bay Area in 2020 and teamed up with Elliott Jacobs—an audio engineering student at San Francisco State University at the time— to experiment with producing her songs. The duo put together a live band in 2021 and embarked on 3 self-booked tours in 2022, up and down the West Coast, and in New York City. While Ha Vay’s sound is always evolving, her emotive storytelling, dreamy layered vocals, and ethereal style draw listeners into her enticing world of magical thinking.
