Oakland-based country shoegaze Absinthe Father, is a project started by Haley Butters. Absinthe Father plumbs the depths of tragedy but finds release in plain-spoken. honesty they recently shared a new EP, titled Soften. Hushed vocals and sparse guitar create an isolated sound. Emotively unpacking one’s thoughts and expressing vulnerability, these songs have a delicate but lasting impact.
