General Information: Cellar Stage is located in the basement of the Alturas Bar, one of the oldest bars in Reno. Restrooms are located on the main floor of the bar, and are clean. Bar offers draft and bottled options, as well as liquor and a wide selection of whiskey. Accessible via stairs, although there is an outdoor entrance on the backside of the Cellar Stage.

Our take on this venue: If you are over 21, this is one of the best spots in town to catch mostly local/ close-proximity live music, and the occasional visiting artists. Dennis, the proprietor of the Cellar, has done an amazing job building a cozy concert space in the basement at Alturas, and provides quality sound checks and light shows- so the sound is good (and LOUD) and the lighting is sufficient for photos. There are a few tables and a bench along one wall if you feel the need to sit, or need to rest your drink. It does get a bit chilly, due to the backdoor leading directly outside and people coming in/out, so if it is a colder night, bring a jacket.

Fine Print: This venue has a 10x10x10 rule, which means if you are booked for a show at the Cellar stage, you can not play another venue within 10 days before or after, within 10 miles.
